Last week, I have discussed about my new self-project with my friend Nguyen Hoai Nam and Le Chi Nguyen. After the discussion, I found myself still up in the midnight thinking about the answer of Nam’s question: “What do you make it for?”.
I am a Web addict, and for sure, I make it for Web Users. My project is a Web Site for a small but very active group of Users. My problem is I don’t have any clue to prove that this group of Users are Web Users or not.
Of course, my project is excited. I can list out a list of functions that make my project helpful to my Users. But Web is not about functionality. Web is a product, and a product need its category. Is Does my product define a new category itself? If yes, I don’t think I can handle it. If no, I must find the leader of this category. What is it for? To learn how they did, and what made them the leader?
My answer to Nam is I make it for fun, at first. Maybe, it is a good start for now. At least, I found some addition tasks to add to my todo-list. Will do it tomorrow.
If you have a great idea, just do it. Ideas + good execution + a lot of passion + blood and tear = success.
If the category doesn’t exist, create it
Cheers
What’s your project ?
