Just a “click”

In this morning, my wife asked me to open our room’s window. She told me she want something fresh, and after I opened the window, the fresh air is flow into the room. I can feel the change immediately, it’s GOOD!

I was in Buon Ma Thuot City two days ago. The city has changed since the last time me and my wife been there. The people here living in their beautiful houses (or villas), with their young and pretty wives and their cute children. Every morning, they drive their deluxe car to go to one in hundreds fancy cafeterias and having their good time with their friends. Life is so easy there. But I have a bad feeling.

My bad feeling is about the easy life in a small country city, on this period of the finance crisis, in our country. Vietnam’s troubled economy is hundred years behind from Singapore, but even Singaporean doesn’t have that easy life. The question is: “So, where are the money come from?”, my answer is: “From the forest that we think they still exist but not!”. Yeah, if you travel to Buon Ma Thuot City by plane, just look outside the window and ask yourself that “Where is the forest gone?”. Let me guess, the forest-hacker kills our forest and gets rich, they waste their money because they don’t care about it, so the people who have business with them have chance to get rich too. Like an actor of the show “Gap Nhau Cuoi Nam” said: “We are completely execute our protective forest. Then, what to do next?”, my question is: “What to do next if all our forest gone?”.

“Who care?”, the answer was so easy. Why the people in Buon Ma Thuot City care for the forest while the hacking work of the forest-hackers brings the easy life to them? And why us people care for the forest? We don’t live there and our life isn’t easy. We have to working our asses of on our fucking jobs. Why should we care for these dying forests? I mentioned that I don’t care about this forest, just like you.

But I was sad. That’s why I was sad. Reveal this confidence was help me a lot, but I was still sad.

Right now, my window is closed but I will open it again tomorrow. Just like a click when I shot a photo, or a mouse-click. The point is I need to accept that our forest is on their way gone. Nobody can stop it. All I can do is enjoy my very last change to take a deep breath of fresh air every morning I open my door. Life is hard, we should enjoy it harder.

I feel better now.

Sometimes we drop the good, mostly we are forced to do the evil. Poor man, low perception and forest ruin like issue of eggs and chicken.

We could contribute our competencies to change others thinking. It does not happen in short term but one day it can.

Happy Lunar New Year to your family and you.

Absolutely agree with you!

I have been to many provinces and see that Vietnam economy now is basing mostly on natural resources, many people have become billionaire just by following this way. Of course, some of them are doing a good job, but I think many of them are natural hackers :)

So when our economy can grow without basing mainly on natural resources? I think just until we can export our intellectual property. That’s the way we, the IT guys are now doing!

Happy New Year! Continue to keep your work and also … your blog going ^^
